I have enjoyed the wide angle drivers mirrors for many years. I got my first one in 1986 for a 1983-900 (Classic) that I owned. It'is still on that car as far as I know---and the car is approaching 400,000 US miles.
Today, I have them on both my wife's 1998 900 SET CV and my 1999, 9-3 HOT.
Convertible owners would REALLY love it.
Take a 4" wide putty knife and cover the end of the blade with a cloth to avoid making any marks. Insert the blade between the top edge of the glass and the black housing and gently yet continually pry the glass out. Some can use their hands instead, but it is up to you.
Note--there is an outside chance you may break the old mirror glass as you remove it. It happens. Not often, but still you need to recognize that it could happen to you. I saw it happen in Sweden a few times.
Remove the old mirror glass, unplug the electrical connector and you are finished.
Installation is easy.
