Consistent for the most part with Consumers' Reports, I am happy to say the car has been fine. Just fine.
In Consumer Reports, it is said (statistically) that you might expect trouble with the electric system. If replacing a light bulb (RR tail-light) means trouble, then I've had such trouble.
In Consumer Reports it is said (statistically) that you might expect trouble with the brakes. While some here have complained about damp conditions driving, esp around the freezing mark, where brake loss is experienced, I can truthfully say I have not experienced it and much of our winter is damp and cool here in Calgary. OTOH, I have been told that at 47K km, we are at less than 25% left on the front pads. 90% of these kms are city driving commutes.
The car gets around 11.2 liters/100km which is no big deal and goes far quicker on premium than regular but we use regular.
We had one broken heater control knob and a front leading-edge mudguard (way underneath the front of the car by the engine) split on us. Both these items were replaced under warranty with a delay on shipping even though the former is a known defect on the regular climate control system. The front spkrs are weak.
I can't comment on your sale price or on the other cars. I'd buy another Saab in a New York Minute although the comments the writers have to offer on dated handling characteristics are probably true compared to, say, a Bimmer.
