Woes of a black car owner...

OK....I just realized that based on the title some people may think this posting is about racial discrimination. Actually, this is about my new 9-3 SE (black).
I just had the car in for the 1000 mi service and while the car was in they washed it. This is normally OK, but I noticed that the wash guy must have used a dirty wash mit or something and he scratched the heck out of my car. I know that black is the worst color for showing clear coat imperfections but what pisses me off is that I didn't ask them to wash my car and now it looks horrible. I spent 3 hours last night with some Meguires polish but it only helped a little. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and what I should do? I am thinking that I should be able to have the car professionally detailed (buffed out) to remedy this but I almost hate to have this done to a brand new car. Should I learn to live with "swirl marks" or should I complain to the dealer?
Any imput would be appreciated.
