Yes Scott The 225-45-16 requested a 7 inches wheel , but the garage try one tire on my 6.5 inches mag (factory) . That tire construction was okay ,
if you try any other brand tire ,compare the specs between a 205-50 and any plus size you want to fit on your car. With the 225-45-16 I can still pass my hand around the frount tire and it is not touching any suspension parts , and I am convince that you can put a wider tire in the back. What surprise me now is when I am on a three lane highway ,if I move from total left lane to the right lane my car does behave better than before over the middle lane which has grooves on it.
