It was real hot here today and the weirdest thing happened. I stopped my 9-3 se steele grey over a 4 foot strip of road tar, it glued itself to my tire and when i accelerated it whipped around for a few rotations flapping against my fender..
The result was obviously road tar on my paint which i removed with some bug and tar remover but, much to my dismay the strip of tar had some debri in it (stones, wood) that scratched my fender up. most of the scratches are service scratches,, one looks like it is through the paint entirely but, not too bad. another is on the plastic painted part of my bumper where there is now black showing.
before i buy touch up paint, i would like to see what i could polish out... 'concerned because the care was picked up in january and hear you need to be careful with new paint. true?
what kind of polish/wax should i try?. should i try was first to see if that works. what is this thing called "cleaner wax?"
