I had this heater control knob problem. You'd best hope the part is in stock. That's all. Mine was replaced but the heat still worked, on and off, albeit clumsily.
The other stuff they should take care of.
Yesterday, I went in for scheduled maintenance and they said - "don't bother with it." Wait until 60K km. I pointed out I had tiny bubbles on the chrome in my grille, undetectable to anyone else unless you were kneeling down and looking up. Pete, my mechanic said:
"Jeez, John. If you have any problems like this one, The General will take care of them. Just bring the car by and we'll take care of it."
A new grille is on order.
If you are having warranty problems. If you are not getting service like I'm getting, then it's up to you to enforce your rights by taking the car into the dealership. I should think you would do that first before coming on the board and telling everybody you have these warranty claims.
On your interior lights falling out, this is one I'd be inclined to fix myself so that it would be done to my satisfaction. You should get a new set of brushes to replace the old ones. And, of course a new heater box unit, not just a knob.
Happy motoring! You have a beautiful car there.
