At the VFA we drove both, and everyone had better Autocross times w/o the TCS. Actually we drove two cars, one with and one without TCS.
So much traction is lost undee acceleration with a FWD car... I cannot imagine how unruley things would get w/o the torque limitation.
While the Viggen can be "squirlly", I notive it in 2nd only, as I am out of 1st very quickly. I'll mention that tires make a huge difference in the performnace of the car, and the feedback you get from the front end.
Could it be that all the reviews about how horrid the wheel jerk is, were due to the crappy Dunlops? After now seeing a few more posts about how much better the car behaves with capable tires on it, I am convinced Saab/Dunlop had/has a problem that they should have owned up to.
