I would leave the amp, but they have to disassemble that whole center console area to install the new heater box. Since I installed an aftermarket amp and not the Saab amp, it does not just easily screw into the two holes in the A-shaped metal frame for the Saab amp. I had to attach some make-shift brackets to the A-shaped metal frame to position the amp and hold it securely in place. The brackets and the amp are held in place with machine screws, nuts and lock washers. Since this is not a standard setup, I don't expect the Saab service techs to have to deal with it and get it put back together the correct way.
