I had similar things happen to my OEM Michelin Pilots on my 99 -3 SE and in my case I believe it was caused by running over stuff or driving through potholes. I bent several rims, and you cannot always tell from visual inspection. I had one that I could not tell was bent until we put just the wheel on a balancing machine and I could then see the out-of-round. If Michelin does do anything for you, don't be surprised if they prorate the coverage, which is probably reasonable. I changed my tires to Michelin Pilot 205/55/16s (from tirerack.com) to get the higher aspect ratio>less damage. Good luck- JerryC
