While Saab has one of the most sophisticated engine management systems out there, it suffers from the ambient conditions. You will undoubtedly find the very best performance in the winter when the air is crisp. You may also notice an improvement on cool and slightly humid Spring/Fall mornings.
The reason is simple... the small, low compression engine is relying heavily on inducted air. When the air is thin (or hot) it doesn't compress as well and the engine does not breathe as well. But when it is cool... WATCH OUT.
As Summer continues to approach and the temp increases, you're going to notice the power decrease, unfortunately. But when Fall comes around, you'll fall in love all over again.
