I have read several posts about the 9-3 pulling under hard braking and about some that pull during normal driving.
I have driven several 9-3s and all of them have exhibited this in some form or another. It is definitely most noticeable on roads with a significant "crown" to them - to aid in quick water removal. I don't notice it on all when driving on roads that are in good condition and relatively flat so I tend to think it has something to do with the way the car is designed and its sensitivity to things like this (uneven road surfaces, etc.). I will admit that I'm extremely picky and sensitive when it comes to this stuff so others may not notice it.
I have brought it to the dealer's attention and they checked alignment, wheel balance, brake function, etc. and it is all perfect. (I expected it would be as it is definitely a function of the shape of the road.)
I think you are correct to have the dealer examine it depending on how severe the condition is (you may in fact have an alignment problem) but don't be surprised if they say it is related to how the car is designed. I like to consider it a "feature" and one of the many "quirks" that come along with SAAB ownership that we have all come to love.
