First, I think that even for a technically "used" car, that lease rate is not bad. You did not mention the term of the lease (i.e. 36 or 48 months) or the mileage/year. I would not recommend going much past the warranty period on a lease unless you are sure you will buy the vehicle.
You also did not mention the residual price of the car at the end of the lease. This would be critical to my decision to lease, if I were to purchase the car at the end. I leased my first SAAB with Chase Manhattan and they were very eager to make a deal at the end of my lease. They offered to knock $2,000 off the residual value if I would buy out the lease 3 months early. I did not take the offer (I didn't want to buy the car anyway), but it told me that the resale value was far below the residual and the lessor was looking to cut their losses.
You may be able to do the same. However, if the lease payments and value per dollar is right, there is no tragedy if your lease company is not willing to deal. I can almost guarantee you that the car will be worth less at the end of the lease that the residual value. If this happens, walk away from the car and buy/lease something else.
Good Luck,
