a) Water injection: Only works well if you use a separate system that injects the water directly into the cylinders. This is kind of complex and risky.
b) Intercooler: You could get a Viggen Intercooler, or a Abbott or Hirsch XL intercooler. This works well. This reduces the risk of knocking and should improve performance in your case. I have a larger intercooler
on my Aero and it makes quite a difference.
c) weird stuff:
You could add a 2nd intercooler (air/air) where you use a bottle of N2 to provide very cold air for short periods of time to cool the charged air down even more. In this case a small intercooler with a high flow
should do, and a bottle of N2 is not very heavy. As N2 does not burn
it posses no safety hazard, any you only need to carry enough N2 for
a few minutes of extra boost. (expanding gas cools things down) Sure
you could also use a water spary on the intercooler, but water produces
steam which can be a problem...

Coolknight
