Glad you appreciate that, Lisa. Unfortunately, rvrn with the set up which unlocks both doors when the key is removed from the ignition, I find I have to be quick to pull the key, because a passenger is ready to grab and pull the handle as soon as the engine is off.

I had a real experience a few years back with my BMW 5 series. I had driven my mother-in-law home, and she pulled (and pulled and pulled) on the door handle to open the door. On that car, the power locks operated by the driver pulling up or pushing down on his door lock button (maybe the front passnger door was the same). I hadn't unlocked my door, so she was getting nowhere. End result was that the cable connected to the door handle got stretched and only cost $75-100 to get fixed. And in spite of that, I have a pretty good mother-in-law.
