I read in the 2002 SAAB catalogue that the T7 unit opens up the air and fuel intake a bit higher than the T5 at low revs, giving a better low-down performance. The revs are also held back from dropping as quickly as on the T5, when changing gear. This is supposed to give the 2002 engines better performance and economy.
But that seat of pants push is missing on my 9-3 HOT! Between 1K to 2K on the revs, it crawls along. Then, after 2K, it fires off like a slingshot with a long rubber band. Is that normal??? I have been searching desperately for someone to give me a test drive in their 9-3, so that I can judge if there is something wrong. My NG900 2.3 used to fire me off the line like a rocket.
