The "textile" is different from the cloth in the 2001s. Part of the difference is that it does not have the advantage over leather of being "grippy." It seems pretty slippery to me.
I don't blame you for liking leather-- it has its advantages. If one likes leather, however, I don't think you would be satisfied with the textile-leather seats, which give the impression that SAAB (and the car's owner) could not afford covering the entire seat with leather. On the other hand, if you preferred the advantages of cloth, I don't think you would be satisfied either. Thus, I don't think the textile-leather seats are a great compromise.
The bottem line is that SAAB should have continued offering a choice of leather or cloth seating-- not an unsatisfying compromise.
