Porsche does this with their 996's.. i read a report on how there were developing the new gen. turbo above the artic circle and perfomring all sorts of extensive tests on it, refining it even further with their results. I think Porsche was taking their queues from Saab on this one! I loved my '91 900 in the snow... "The tank" would plow through just about anything covered in mass amts of snow that I could point it at; drainage ditches, soft shoulders, deep snow drifts...I really thought that I was abusing the car at times, but I never had it towed because I got stuck in something... Can't wait to compare/contrast my 9-3 with it!
