I use the same 17"-wheels for summer and winter tires and don't have any problems at all. I live in Finland where the winter (snow) conditions lasts for 4-5 months. I have Bridgestone Blizzak (studless) tires 215/45/17. My Aero has TCS, which makes it easy to get up any hill.
