Thanks for the link Dean ! I missed that post when I was search the BB.
Anyway, had a talk with an Audi racer whom I got to know from my old Merkur day (now talk about a funky car). He said his impression of most of the big name aftermarket lowering spring out there is that they are usually of very excellent quality. The problem is that most of them are designed for European car (lower weight) and road application. They are fine if you live in area with very good road. However, if you live in the Northeast Metro area, chances are that they will either be too soft over bumps and potholes which will bottom out or they are so firm that you will lose your teeth over rough road surface.
He said the only way to get a set of prefect lowering spring is to custom design it which he did for the Merkur (and also Audi) group way back when. The only problem is you really need to know what you are doing plus the initial cost layout is fairly high.
Oh well, looks like I will stick with plan A, Koni upgrade and 17" wheel.
