Seriously, I think this plus 1 plus2 plus 3 stuff is totally bogus. What will you be using the car for? I have never driven a convertible but I would imagine that it has some "cowl shake" = imprecise suspension location. This will be exacerbated by "performance" setup. If you are merely just trying to fill the wheel wells (ie cosmetic) then that's another issue. I think going to a 15x 7 may be a better solution. Saab has some suggestions in their catalog. I went back to the stock setup from 16" 3-spokes and 205/50-16 recently- the car is just plain better balanced-particularly on the highway at speeds between 80 and 95. It's quieter and control around high speed turns (at those speeds) is better. There is such a thing a "too much tire". I have heard similar sentiments about porsches as well. The 18" setup is no good relative to the 17". I recall back in the mid 80's that those in the know indicated that the "hot set up" for a 911 carrera on the street was actually the 15" wheel not the 16" with low profile. Just my opinion.
