Much GM bashing on this board. Probably not that far from the typical "fundamentalist conspiraialist narrowmindeness" dribble thats been circling the globe for the past millenium or so. Hey but that's a completely different subject!
Scott is correct. The current 9-3 is GM based and Saab "flavored" and the 9-5 is even more so. The fact that the 9-5 works pretty good, I think, is likely a preview of what future products will be. From GM's point of view, I don't understand why they would make future Saabs rebadged Pontiacs. It doesn't even make sense form an economic angle- which of course is what their in business for ($$$$$). Clearly, the world does not need any more manufacturers making the likes of chevies and pontiacs- no one is going to pay 30-40K for it. GM can do good work with the correct guidance-Hopefully Saab will be allowed to retain a certain amount of it's focus and put all the new resources ($) to make even better Saabs. Hopefully they will not look like a 9-3X-YUCK!!!!!!!
