Yes it is almost the same car, but the new model is probably more reliable (after so many years at it!) and in my opinion it does look better. The steel color is gorgeous. Leasing a new one is like buying it without any risk. If after three years you are not happy, you give it back. If you want to buy it, then you pay the low residual. The money factor is close to 0%. You do not loose. If you buy a used one say with 40,000 miles, your warranty will expire in a few months, plus before you know it the car will have some headahes $$$$$$, and you are goingto sell it and not get what you wnat for it. The payment on the lease is reasonable with all your warranties for the next 4 years. You just can beat it. There are no cars out there price like the Saab 9-3 that gives you so much bang for the buck. Even the 9-5 has a great deal right now.
