I would have guessed only later in life but apparently there have been some studies indicating that even in young active people cola consumption strongly correlates with increased risk for broken bones.
I don't think they are exactly sure why but the speculation was that it is because of the Phosphoric Acid. Other studies have found Phosphoric Acid effects calcium absorption and bone mass.
Regardless I have to get cleaned up--sugared, caffeinated cola is my one vice. I have been drinking too much for too long and the effects are showing.
