The best way to keep your car looking good is to hand wash it only...on my L. Blue Viggen, I use Armor All Car wash concentrate and a sheep's wool mitt (AutoZone has everything you need). To dry it, I use one of those rubbery rolled up drying towels that acts like a chamois but is cheaper. I then touch it up with a very soft cotton towel.
Viggen wheels are best washed with the soap and water used on the rest of the car, and little else. They are so easy to clean, that it takes about 30 seconds a wheel. Heavy brake dust might require P21S wheel cleaner.
As for the top, I would only use soap and water again. I have a 2001 Mazda Miata and Miata club members recommend 303 Top protectant (I think?) but the Saab top is not vinyl (at least from what I remember), so I'm not sure what you would use. I've used nothing on the Miata's top, but then again, when it's up, it's under a car cover, and it's almost always down when I'm driving the car! :)
As for wax, I use nothing but the Zymol Creme wax that comes in the clear jar...$35 to buy, but NOTHING shines like it...it also beads better and lasts longer than anything else I've used. I've tried NuFinish, P21S, Mothers, Meguiar's, etc., and still like Zymol the best.
Check out http://www.superiorcarcare.net..they have pretty much anything you could ever want.
Good luck, and enjoy!
