I feel that the same will prove true here. The indie is a saab specialist who only works on Saabs. He also has expertise from former Saab dealership experience, and his prices are a bit more modest ($350 not $550 for the 30k)... Talking to the guy is always interesting and informative; he steered me right in making a choice on the model to buy and told me which models I may want to avoid (and why). But I still feel I can do so many things here myself. I mean, how different can changing brake fluid or oil or air filter be for any car?. Alignment and inspections I will leave to the pros, but this is stuff Ive always done myself on my own and my friends' cars, so why does the simple fact that its a saab mean I should have to stop my working relations with my automobile [zen and the art of all that jazz]. Its not really the money, I don't think.
