Curious who the original lessor may have been, and whether the CD changer removed by the prior lessee was installed and financed under the original lease. As I recall my lease document (Saab Financial), all installed accessories covered under the original lease (such as a CD changer or the convertible windscreen) or added subsequently (such as the cell phone holder) are to remain with the vehicle when it's turned back in at end of lease. That may not be a lot of help, but maybe some ammunition.

As other's have noted, it's also been my understanding that, unless the divorce procedure has been performed on the changer, it should be unable to work with another car.
