Just took a peek at the dash, and I thought that the dash speakers were farther from the door than they really are. My bad. So, I would figure that moving the tweeters from the dash to the door will have little effect, not to mention added complexity. If treble is still an issue, I'd make sure that the speakers are still pointed the proper direction and connected.
How concerned are you about high frequency generation???
