Sorry but I need to vent & ask a ? about my new lease from SAAB. Five days after entering into a 48 month lease, to my surprise, GM lowered its "lease money rate" from what I got .00142 to .00070. Yes, I did contact both my dealer and SAAB Financial Service Corp to plead with them to, in the name of good customer service, rewrite the lease so that I wouldn't be reminded monthly of these few short 5 days for the next 4 years. I even told them of the wonderful good customer feedback they would receive from me on this forum (without, I might add, disclosing, their actual good act for fear of geting an avalanche of similar requests). To my dismay, they would not budge even though, with a few key strokes, I would be on an even footing with all those now getting leases through the end of this month. How could this have hurt them?!!
So, now I am in the "what if" frame of mind and wonder if someone could help me figure out what my monthly "loss" really is. How are these rates used to calculate the lease? My weak attempt to do this comes up with something between $12 to $25 per month extra that I am paying for my lease, which, by the way if it helps, is $329 per month (plus sales tax) for a 9-3 Linear with Launch, Touring and Auto and with $3,300 down and 12K miles per year. Am I screwed? :-(
