friends. Not even a coilpack problem. Chipping a 1.8t is easy, but the higher intake temps that result w/o upgrading the turbo and all of the intake plumbing will quickly kill a 1.8t. Otherwise, they are quite reliable if not, in an A4 at least, sluggish.
