I just got the Stongard paint protection (full kit) and Stongard light done on my '01 9-3SE.
To say that Stongard's product is *exactly* matched is a stretch. I watched as my installer did the job. It took ALL DAY on Friday, and there was quite a bit of customization necessary (cuts, etc) to make the section for the front spoiler fit. It looked as if the piece wasn't quite the right size (not wide enough). Also, a small vertical crease was left below the hood emblem. There will be some complaints made to Stongard tomorrow morning.
I definitely wouldn't try to do this myself. The lights, maybe. That part took about 20min. But the paint part is best left to a professional.
The paint guard does not wrap all the way around the sides of the front spoiler, as you might expect. It basically just covers the front aspect, to the outboard edge of the foglight holes. Also the light guard does not wrap all the way around the side of the turn signal lights. Again, just front aspect coverage. There is a strip that covers the lower half of the upper part of the bumper, up to where the "cutouts" for the lens wipers are. So there's still some exposed paint there as well.
All this said, it looks great. You'd never notice it on the car unless you were looking for it, and even then, you'd have to be looking closely. It's a little expensive (~$500 by the time I was done), but I already paid for one broken $150 foglight, and chipped up paint is ugly, so I think it's worth it. My car is steel gray. I think it would be more noticable on darker, flatter colors, and less so on lighter, glossy or metallic ones.
Cheers,
