BMW 325iC - Great car, more solid at speed. Definitely slower than 9-3. These are so common here in Miami, but they sell for top dollar. Difference in the lease was over $120/month for a car with less features. I shudder to think what they get for the 330iC.
Audi A4 1.8t - Drove real nice, but slow as molasses. What do expect from only 170HP? The CVT was very smooth. Price was competitive with SAAB as well. Two things scared me off. First was the recall for the ignition coils on all VW 1.8t engines. Second was that the dealer was a long way from the house and did not guarantee loaner cars for service.
Volvo C70 - Heard some horror stories about service, but a friend of mine had one and had no trouble. More cowl shake that the 9-3, but comparible in all other ways except price. Not worth $80 more per month unless you must have a Volvo.
I wish I could have waited for the '04, but I figure that it would have been some time until the initial demand subsided and the factory incentives kick in. The old lease was up in Feb.
