Buying Remotes on Ebay

My 2001 9-3 has the one piece key/remote system. Can anyone tell me why the Ebay sellers posting 2001 Saab "remotes" have pictures of something else that I can't identify? Anyway, how can a used key/remote, say, from a wreck be recut for my car? I understand that the remote might be reprogrammed by the dealer, but recut? Or, can you put a new blank key shaft on the remote part and then cut my key design into it?
