Odd how some saab owners seem to take some perverse pride in the "quirks" of these vehicles. My 99 SE CV has also had a myriad of picayune problems with less than 38K miles. I concur that some of these flaws are design/engineering related. I hate to compare apples to oranges, but, my five toyotas combined did not have the near the faults of my one saab. Granted, none were as fun to drive, but, I have only had it for three and a half months! It is going back to the dealer again for fixes of a litany of problems, ie: Clacking windows, burned out pixels, air bag warning light, spastic remote ( I have to remove the fod battery every few weeks and reinstall it and reprogram it to work), prematurely worn top,and let us not forget the worst cowl shake and shudder of any CV I have ever owned, and or driven. In all fairness, my sis has a base 93 CV that I have driven many times without experiencing any problems. I suppose it is more than possible that I purchased an anomaly, but, judging by my time spent on this board, it seems the rule rather than the exception. I am beginning to see why the depreciation level drops like a stone. It can't be just me. I see post after post bemoaning the gremlins inherent in some of these vehicles, many of which are new! Okay, sorry for the rant. All you dyed in the wool saabers let me have it with both aspirated barrels!
