A mystery for you Saabsleuths

the car: 99 9-3 auto, 64k miles. History, as it relates to the mystery: right front strut replaced at 53k miles (when we bought the car). We have experienced the "crunching" sounds that so many of us experience with these cars when the weather is cold. This is a little different. The mystery: when the weather changes, temp-wise, from cold to warm, the car will make a "scrunching" sound (my best imitation) when going over "dips" in the road. Normal bumps there is no sound, but say you go over a big dip in the road, or a large speed bump (slowly), when the front of the car dips way down there is this "scrunching" noise. If the temps remain constantly warm, the "scrunching" goes away in a day or so. If the weather cools for a few days and then warms again, the symptoms repeat, and then disappear if the temps remain constant. Any likely suspects as to what this is? Why does the noise come and go with changing temps? Is some bushing or something adjusting to the changing temps? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
