What were they thinking? A new Saab with no hatchback?
I'm on my third Saab hatch (99/C900/9-3). They've taken me from infants and all their gear to hauling kids off to college, with improved luxury at every upgrade. The 'Wagonback' let me avoid minivans altogether.
Count me as an 'older' generation Saab owner who has appreciated the utility of the hatchback combined with a sport sedan. The long-time availability of a hatchback is one of the many unique Saab characteristics that separate these cars from the masses.
Increased sales due to the demise of the hatch? While this may be good business for Saab, blending into the crowd was not a trait of most 'older' generation Saab owners.
