I picked my car up at the factory in Sweden and drove it home to southern Germany. I, too, was a little worried about the break-in, especially on the autobahn. At the pick up, they told me to avoid flooring it and try to keep it under 5000 rpm for the first 1500 miles. That was no problem, and the limits did not prohibit having a good time at very good speeds. (I now have about 4500 miles on the car and have been over 5000 rpm for a combined total of 2 seconds or so. You just don't have to push the rpms for the power you want.)
As for TechII items, I had them disable the honk when activating the alarm, disable the shift light, and reprogram the lights so that I could turn them on and off like the control knob suggests is possible.
Great car. Have fun.
