Does my 9-3 need an alignment?

I have a 15 month old 2002 9-3 turbo. Over the last few months it has started to pull to the left or right, depending on the road. My dealer says it does not need an alignment and brakes and tires are fine too, and this is a normal occurence, due to the wheelbase and road groove mismatch.
This seems extremely dangerous to me, and I would like to know if this is a documented problem.
I am not refering to torque steer, although that is the worst of any FWD car I have ever driven. The pulling usually occurs when approaching a light, and usually pulls to the left strongly.
One more thing---I have an SE and was amazed to discover that there are no door speakers behind the speaker covers! I have never encountered anything like this before! How CHEAP! They told me it was for cost savings! How about removing those really usefull headlamp washers to save some more money? Maybe then they could afford door speakers! Anyone else find this annoying? Thanks
