Looks like SAAB is offering 3.9% on Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles until at least the end of this month. Of course I suppose 3.9% really isn't much better rate than the local CU but an option or I assume you can take the cash value.
If you can find a good car I wouldn't be concerned about buying it from a non-SAAB dealer although I would evaluate careful. Why do they have it? How did they get it? Verify the service records with a dealer if at all possible and verify the in-service date and remaining warranty with SAAB. Most important make any offer contingent (or before making a final offer) on having it checked out by a 3rd party mechanic. Making it contingent gives you a little less control on adjusting your price but at least you have a darn good idea what the price is if it checks out. If anything is really amiss you can renegotiate or always walk of course. I belive it is always critical to look at a used car on at least two seperate occassions before making a decision. Taking time to think about it and going over it with a fine tooth comb again will let you catch a lot you would miss the first time.
Best time is always when the dealer is desperate to move the car and your not desperate to have it. Timing should be getting good for converts you would think.
