Hi gang,
I bought the yellow car from a guy in Colorado who took immaculate care of the car and replaced it with a yellow Viggen convertible. It was between that one and a CA owned '94 Comm. Edition with similar miles. Only 75K on it when I got, and never had any major issues. I had the a/c converted to r134a, new top/headliner, stereo, 205/55/15 tires, red APC and 3 bar FPR, and new shocks/balljoints. It still needs something in the front suspension as it creaks over speed bumps. I think control arm bushings next spring should take care of it.
Since it was shipped here, Charles River Saab has serviced it, and asked me if they could borrow it for the show. I was more than happy to oblige. They gave me a 9-3 Arc as a loaner for the weekend...I really liked it..fantastic handling, even with the 16 inch stock tires.
The "Killer bee" just went into the garage for the winter...yesterday's chill was enough for me to put it away until next spring.
I'm not sure if you remember the 5 door Lightning Blue Viggen that was for sale last year at the show...that was mine...now gone...and replaced with a 9-5 Aero wagon. After 4 bent rims on Boston roads, and the car's love of changing lanes by simply pressing the accelerator, the Aero wagon seems way more refined.
These cars are too friggin' addictive.
Cheers,
Paul H.
