Stuck handbrake on test drive

Concerned about driving my Viggen convert in the winter, I killed some time last week by test driving a 93SS, again. Again. Anyway, I pulled on the ebrake, and couldn't get it down. This was a concern of mine from the first time I sat in one last year, but I just had to press my luck. It seems like one of those things you shouldn't have to think about, so I didn't. I yanked on it once, then again just a little while pushing on the button. Because of the button's location, you have to pull up to engage the buttons. Dummies. Anyway, a cop showed up so traffic would avoid me in the middle of 29 in Falls Church, about a 6 lane road. The salesman said they've had this happen before, but never once apologized or encouraged me to come back the next day or anything. I think he'd take me seriously. I was dressed well and pointed out that I'm on my 4th Saab. The guy that drove me back to the dealership said that _explaining how to use the ebrake_ is part of the delivery experience. Sigh. Not even touching that.
