Just got back from the Saab shop about the noise. They did a check and said that one of the serpentine pulleys was making the noise (props to "Saabing in KS"). Said that it would need to be replaced but couldn't do it then because the engine was too hot. Said it was $100 or so to change. So outcome was not as bad as I thought. I'll set an appointment over the next week or so.
I asked him about the brakes and said the same as MO, don't need to turn rotors to change brake pads. Said it would cost $170 or so to change front brakes, so why does Saab charge almost $300 for this. The dealer is such a ripoff. If you're a dealer reading this, people are getting really pissed about the way they're being scammed. I'm still going to change them myself though.
If you're in Atlanta, take your Saab to Sovereign Automotive. They're family run, honest, easy to work with, reasonably priced, and only work on Saabs. Had my 60k service done there and they were great.
