You can tell him that he's crazy! I have a Jeep (aka, "Heep") and a Saab, and you should be babying the Saab and letting the Jeep go (or selling it), because it's going to break your bank with repairs. I can fix anything on my Jeep. Why? Because it's broken down so much. Current things: very hard time going into 4wd; leaky pipe near muffler; leaky rear main seal; I could go on. The Jeep is old, but it's always been a bear to maintain. Plus, Jeeps just aren't designed well. I went four wheeling in a vehicle supposedly off road capable, and overheated the engine! Why? Because Jeep cheesed out with a single row radiator and crappy water pump (and no electric fan). I could go on for hours about the stuff I've replaced on my Jeep.
