I did the upgrade about a year ago. The 15" wheels definitely provided a softer ride, however that meant poor handeling. I found the car moved a lot from side to side.
The 16's haven't been terrible with feeling the road. I live in boston, so that says a lot. But the cornering ability is very different with less rubber.
I would like to go even bigger with some 17's, but I really worry about damaging rims all the time with pot holes.
