am I responsible for work done that was not written up?

When I took my 2000 9³ Viggen to the dealer for a "10K service" today, I had my own typed-up sheet of all the items I wanted done or had questions on. One of these was to have an aftermarket cellphone antenna removed from my side window. The SM said "oh, you should just take that to a auto stereo place" implying it wasn't worth their shop rate to do it. I agreed, and said to skip it. The service manager transfered the items we agreed on into the computer and printed it out for me. Removal of the antenna was not on the list. He kept my original list.
When I picked the car up, the SM said "oh, the technician read -your- list and took off the antenna, is that all right?". I was like "uh, yeah, I'm not gonna have you put it back on." But then he charge me 1/2 hour ($50!) for it.
Question is, am I responsible for payment of this work that I did NOT sign off for on the work order? Even though I paid it can I demand a refund?
