One night last winter I popped open the hood on my GF''s Corolla after it sat for a couple months and this huge rat jumped out at me from where it was perched on the engine. It didn't hit me because I backed off quite quickly, slamming my back into the trunk of the next car on the street. It took quite a bit of nerve to open the hood again, let me tell you.

When I was growing up my parents both had '86 900s, one of them was rendered basically undrivable after a bunch of mice went through the blower motor. All I know is that the car sat for the winter and when we started it next spring there was a lot of clunking under the dash, mouse fur from the vents, etc. The worst smell ever known developed after a couple days, and that was that. Good Luck on the nest removal/extermination project. -AMG
