tilt steering wheel retrofit

Have a 2001 Saab 9-3. I am 6'3", and have plenty of head room and leg room. BUT, I can't stand not being able to have my right knee go under the steering wheel, it's stuck between the console and wheel.
If the steering wheel had tilt, I would be 100% comfortable.
I noticed that starting in 2003 (?) they started putting tilt steering wheels in the 9-3's.
Is there a way to "retrofit", put a tilt steering wheel in a 2001 model?
Thanks!
