Hey Matt,
In my first paragraph I was re-hashing the earlier thread were Dean suggested that my BPC (black item above and to the left of the turbo with three rubber hoses coming out of the bottom)could be failing and that I should swap the BPC out of my 9-5 Aero and see if it makes a difference. Instead I decided to call my mechanic and get his opinion. He felt the first thing we should figure out is whether the turbo and wastegate were working properly so he suggested I remove the middle (goes to the wastegate) hose from the BPC. It would seem with the wastegate disconnected from the BPC there is no longer any overboost protection so my mechanic told me to be carefull. On part throttle I was boosting into the red zone of the factory boost gauge, so we conclude that the turbo and wastegate were not the problem.
Through this process we figure out that one, if not both my catalytic converters may have failed and now I have loose catalyst material in the rear cat. So i have an appointment tomorrow for some warranty exhaust work. Then I will see what my car is doing at that point.
If you have any further questions just send me an e-mail,
Matthew
