Probably a fuel cut, possibly a dirty BPC valve or vacuum leak from a BPC valve hose. This was how it went with my car:
Light acceleration, up to about 1/2-3/4 into the yellow, no problem.
Hard acceleration in 3rd-4th gear, pedal down, open throttle for more than one second - fuel cut. Car seems to lurch forward when fuel is restored, then a second or two later, another fuel cut, sometimes two or three in a row.
The solution was the mechanic removed the BPC valve, blew it out with compressed air, test drove the car, all in less than 45 minutes, and sent me on the way.
I asked about buying a new BPC (around $200 for the ng900, less for a 9-3), and his comment was that if it cleans up with shop air or a can of compressed air, I will probably be doing it again in a year either way, the $200 was my choice. If it does not clean out, there is no choice, you have to replace it, or get a manual boost controller instead.
Also check the hoses from the BPC to the turbo area, if one is cracked, the result can be the same.
