I think one of the other responses on this said that as far as the dealer goes "you are SOL" and I agree with that. SAAB has ALWAYS had a lousy dealer network, they just can't seem to get it right. In the early 60's I started driving SAABS (mix oil/gas) with first a '58 (do not recall the model believe it was 92) then a 1966 Monte Carlo(loved this one) . Problem was, locating a dealer was like playing musical chairs, they were always changing. Seems like anyone that could spell SAAB and could buy a sign was a "qualified" SAAB dealer. I finally gave up and went to BMW. I am back with SAAB now and again find the two local dealers a bit of a challenge to deal with. Going to SAAB Customer Service is like whistling in the wind. I really like my SAAB but, my next car may be something with better dealership network. It doesn't matter how good the car is, sooner or later something is going to break and, if you can't get it fixed you are just SOL.
Sorry this got so long, just venting I guess.
