I agree with Richard - it is the ignition switch. Same thing happened to my duaghter's '95 900. The car would wuit in the middle of the road, while making turns across traffic, etc. Very scary for her. Wha was more sarry was that the local Saab thief told her it was the computer and thatit would cost $3K to fix. None of the indy's that she took it to could even hint at a source of the problem. So, the "Old man" gets the car.
Proiblem is in the ignition switch, which has two "Hot" connections when the swithcis in the "On" position. One feeds the engine electronics and the other feeds the accessories. The contact for the engine feed wears out causing the car to intermittently cut-out. Getting to the ignition switch is the hardest part of replacing the switch. The console has to come out - so does the driver's seat I beleive. The switch went for about $125 five years ago. No problems since.
Good luck.
